One of the key issues for all commercial new or renovation projects, is obtaining comparable, competitive quotations from qualified contractors. Condominiums for example, typically need three quotes, mandatory per Florida condominium laws. Property managers are usually asked to gather quotes from pool contractors, but typically the quotes they receive are not comparable, with many nuances in the work scope they may not be familiar with. The result is the pool owners mistakenly thinking the quotes are all the same, when in fact they are not.

A good solution for this is to hire Essig Pools as your design professional under a Consultation Service Agreement. This service can include working together with your design committee, property manager, owner, and/or architect, preparing design ideas, budget quotes, and producing aquatic-engineered plans. The engineered signed and sealed plans are then given to the pool owner, who can then solicit comparable quotes for the scope of work on an ‘apples-to-apples’ basis. Of course, Essig Pools would like to be one of the competitive bidders for the project, but there is absolutely no obligation for the pool owner to hire Essig Pools.
